Water Systems

We service and install a full line of water systems as well as water treatment systems. Our team can install, repair or replace well pumps, water tanks, and can diagnose water system related issues. We also install and service constant pressure systems and booster pumps to alleviate any pressure issues customers may be experiencing.

Our water treatment work begins with a free water analysis to evaluate which type of system would be appropriate for a given case depending on numerous variables such as water hardness, pH, or iron content. We are not salesmen and will not push products that are unnecessary. Rather, we will generate a system based on lab results and proven products that will help customers who are experiences water quality issues. These systems may include water softeners, neutralizers, chemical feed pumps, reverse osmosis systems, UV lights, and whole-house filters.

Well water systems and pumps: If your home or business has a groundwater well (aka artesian well) providing you with your water we can help with every issue, deep or shallow, jet pumps, submersible pumps, constant pressure systems and controls, pressure tanks, well storage tanks, pressure switch, control boxes. Our trained and experienced technicians will diagnose the issue and make the recommended repairs.

Water Quality: Water quality is always a concern whether you have town/city water, community well or private well.  Each source has its own challenges and complex blend of contaminants.  Town/city water is disinfected before it is treated, so a majority of municipal supplies will contain chlorine which can impact taste and odor of the drinking water.  Well water can contain a whole host of issues. Below is a list of the most common water quality issues we see on a daily basis, followed by the solutions.  Each situation is different. We typically will take a water sample and have it analyzed by our equipment provider for secondary contaminants.  We then follow up with a recommended course of action, whether that means adding equipment, removing equipment, maintaining what is currently on-site if applicable.

Problems

Hard water – staining, difficulty getting things clean

pH (acidic) – pinholes in copper piping, blue/green staining, corrosion

Iron – red/orange staining, red/orange in toilets and on clothes

Bad taste and odors – musty taste, chlorine residuals

Sediment – clogging fixtures

Bacteria – usually identified during a test of water during home buying/selling process, or can cause sickness after drinking water

Water softeners

Water neutralizers

“We have used Dave Goldberg Plumbing whenever we need a professional plumber for the last 10 years or so. This week they coordinated with our water company to fix a leak in the main pipe coming into our house.
Kevin, located the problem and fixed the leak in a timely manner. We highly recommend Goldberg Plumbing.”

“Goldberg Plumbing installed a new well pump with controller and electrical cabling for me at my home in Yorktown Heights, in the middle of a snow storm! I called in an emergency, no water condition, and they responded. A many thanks goes to Zoanne (sorry if I mispelled) in the office, Carlos and Kevin in the field!”
